Product Story

The real Trent 900 was developed by Rolls-Royce for the Airbus A380, one of the largest passenger aircraft ever built. It became the first engine to power the A380 into commercial service with Singapore Airlines in 2007. The Trent 900 is part of the Rolls-Royce Trent family and was engineered around a massive 116-inch swept fan, advanced compressor and turbine aerodynamics, and a three-shaft architecture designed for efficiency, reliability, and reduced noise.

The first Trent 900 ran in 2003, was certified in 2004, and powered the A380’s first flight in April 2005. By 2007, it had already accumulated thousands of hours of flight testing before entering passenger service.

For the DIY version, the experience starts before the engine ever turns. You assemble the structure yourself, piece by piece, building an understanding of how each section fits into the whole. Once complete, the model becomes more than an aviation display — it becomes something you have built, studied, and made part of your own space.
