Product Story
Product Story
In 1816, Scottish clergyman and inventor Robert Stirling patented a new kind of heat engine.
At the time, steam engines were powerful, but they were also dangerous. Boiler explosions were a real risk, and Stirling believed there should be a safer, more thoughtful way to turn heat into motion. His answer was the Stirling engine.
Instead of relying on high-pressure steam, it used a sealed working gas and a temperature difference to create movement. Heat on one side, cooling on the other — and between them, a piston, a flywheel, and a cycle of motion that could continue with remarkable elegance.

This engine generate enough power to light the bulb
Jason L. 5/5
Once it gets up to speed, it actually powers the little bulb too. Seeing the light come on from the engine running is what made it feel more interesting than a normal display model.
Maren J. 5/5
Got this for my dad because he’s always been into old engines and mechanical things. He spent more time looking at how it worked than I expected.
